ATM SECURITY

Be mindful of your surroundings and keep these general tips in mind when using our ATMs.

  • Never disclose your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to anyone
  • Memorise and never write down your ATM or Credit Card PIN or Password
  • Never use an ATM whose display screen appears blank or inactive
  • Never use an ATM that appears to have external devices or unnecessary gadgets attached to it
  • Do not force your Card into the card slot
  • Stand close to the ATM and use your body and hand as a shield while keying in your PIN
  • Keep your hand over the card slot to make sure nobody can swap or take your Card
  • Follow the instructions on the ATM screen carefully; avoid asking strangers for help
  • Do not insert your Card until asked to do so by the display screen
  • Only put in your PIN when the ATM tells you to do so
  • Avoid withdrawing cash in secluded areas, late at night or when you are alone
  • Do not use the ATM if you don't feel safe or you are suspicious of individuals loitering around
  • Do not use the ATM when distracted, intimidated or rushed into your transaction
  • Be wary of strangers asking for help to use the
  • Do not count your cash in front of the ATM
  • If the ATM retains your Card, cancel it immediately; be wary of strangers who offer to call the customer support toll-free number on your behalf
  • Always check that it is your Card you get back from the ATM
  • Be aware of the daily withdrawal limits on each of your Cards and decrease them if necessary
  • Report lost or stolen ATM Cards, Credit Cards and cheques as soon as you discover they are missing

Online Banking Security Advice

Log on. Lock on.

  • Always log into Online Banking via our sites at the following addresses: www.emiratesnbd.com.sa and not through other links. Ensure that your browser address begins with https, not http, with a feedback icon. This means it is an authentic, secure site
  • Do not use passwords that are easy to guess such as your name, birthday, phone number, etc
  • Never add your online banking link to your list of favorites or save your user ID and password in auto-fill
  • Do not share your password with anyone and do not use the same password for other websites
  • Change your password frequently and never write it down
  • Avoid logging on to Online Banking from Internet cafes, libraries or public sites
  • Always close the window once you have logged out of your Online Banking session

Emirates NBD will never call or email you asking for your account numbers, login password or ATM PIN. To protect yourself from online fraud and Malware:

  • Avoid opening emails from unknown sources, especially if they contain links or attachments
  • Do not reply to emails that request your personal information
  • Contact Customer Service Helpdesk 800 754 7777 (within the kingdom) OR 00966 11 282 5566 (outside the kingdom) if receive fraudulent emails or notice any suspicious activity on your Accounts or Credit Cards
